Our latest project was producing a bespoke set of personalised wooden medals for the GBPHA Slater & Gordon Cup, an event celebrating teamwork, performance, and community spirit.

The GBPHA Slater & Gordon Cup is an annual sports event that brings together participants from across the UK in a spirit of friendly competition. The event emphasises inclusion, fitness, and camaraderie — and our medals were designed to reflect those same values. Each wooden medal serves as both a symbol of achievement and a reminder of the event’s commitment to sustainability.

🌿 Eco-Friendly Wooden Medal Design

Each medal was crafted from sustainable 3mm thick wood, responsibly sourced and precision-cut on our CO₂ laser system. Measuring 70mm wide, the medals strike a perfect balance between lightweight comfort and premium feel.

We used UV printing technology to apply a soft lilac base with dark purple detailing, producing a crisp, modern contrast that’s durable and fade-resistant. This method allows for vibrant colour reproduction while maintaining a minimal environmental footprint.

Every medal was finished with a recycled polyester ribbon, chosen for its smooth texture and sustainable origin. The ribbons were ultrasonically welded — a technique that fuses the fabric seamlessly without the need for adhesives or stitching, giving a clean, professional finish while improving durability.

Our aim with this project was to create something truly unique — medals that would look beautiful, feel substantial, and align with the event’s eco-conscious values. Each piece was laser-cut, printed, and finished by our UK-based team with the same attention to detail we bring to all our work.
